As a new Biolab Users you have to get introduced before you start work about Biolab Safety and General Lab & Work Safety by an experienced biolab user (e.g. Katharina Achazi, Elisa Quaas, Stefanie Wedepohl, Daniel Lauster or Johanna Scholz) based on the Safety Instructions for the Biolab (Genetic Engineering Facility 92/14) and the Biolab Agreement. To complete the introduction, you need to get introduced to Katharina Achazi personally and to sign introduction protocol in the genetic engeering folder in office E001 (Arnimnallee 22).
In addtion, you may need to make an appointment with FUB's medical service (amz-anmeldung@charite.de) for an occupational health examinations according to the examination principles G42, G24 and G37 (attach letter: 2022-05-23_Brief_Betriebsarzt_Biostoffe.pdf) medical check-up based on the questionaire before you start to work with human materials in the biolab (cells, tissue, blood etc.). A certificate about this examination and the periodic re-eaxamination needs to be provided to Katharina Achazi as head of th e biolabthe Biolab Team.
Once a year, every Biolab User has to attent the mandatory Biosafety introduction.
