| - Launch the Safe Exam Browser by double clicking on the configuration file (ATTENTION: version 4.0.0, download available here: https://wikis.fu-berlin.de/x/Mol2QQ)
- Launching SEB leads you to our new landing page. From here you can:
- check your login credentials and start your assessment. Click on: "Login page".
- complete a mock exam to get a feeling for the user interface and assessment environment. Click on "Mock exam".
Note: If you are taking an Open Book exam without the Safe Exam Browser, here you can check your login and take the demo exam . |

| Enter the login data you received from your professor/tutor. You will get the login data shortly before the exam.
Important: The login data for an exam is NOT the same as your normal FUB login data |

| You need to consent to the processing of the necessary data to take the exam (First and Surname, E-mail adress, matriculation number, data from the exam) and confirm that you are authorized to take the exam. You must also confirm that you will not record or tape the provided exam and that you are aware that cheating of any kind will get you banned from the exam or in extreme cases banned from the course altogether. Click "Accept" (in german: "Akzeptieren") to proceed. |

| You can now see an overview of all available exams for you. Important: Exams are only activated when the exam starts. Only then you will see the green "Ready" (in german: "Bereit") button. Before the activation the button ist colored blue. |

| - Left side: The exam questions (here numbered). You can directly click on them or use the arrows (explained below).
- Top navigation (from left to right):
- Arrow keys: Use these to move back and forth between the tasks
- Mark: You can use this to mark individual tasks, so that you can edit them again later. The marker appears as a pin on the left side of the task navigation.
- Hint: This will take you to the support channel, this is not relevant for you during an exam in the EEC.
- Comment: There you can leave comments for the teachers in any task.
- Finish: Here you can submit the exam (see details below)
- Top right: Your remaining time for the exam.
- Bottom right: The maximum points that can be achieved for the respective task.

| 3) Submit the exam and exit the session

| - If you want to submit your exam before the end of the exam period, click on the "Finish" button.
- The following security query appears asking whether you really want to end the test. If you now click on "Yes", the test is complete.
When the exam time expires, the exam closes automatically and is automatically submitted.

| The button "Exit session" (in german: "Sitzung beenden") in the bottom-right corner closes the Safe Exam Browser. Your computer is now completely available to you again. |

- Sie gelangen nun auf unsere Begrüßungsseite.
- Um Ihren Account zu testen oder Ihre Prüfung zu starten, klicken Sie auf "Zum Login für meine Prüfung".
- Um die Demoprüfung durchzuführen, klicken Sie auf "Zur Demoprüfung".
Hinweis: Wenn Sie eine Open-Book-Prüfung ohne den Safe Exam Browser absolvieren, können Sie hier Ihren Login testen und die Demoprüfung durchführen. |

| Sie gelangen nun auf eine Übersichtsseite. Auf dieser befinden sich die für Sie verfügbaren Prüfungen. Wichtig: Prüfungen werden erst ab der Prüfungsstartzeit aktiviert. Der grüne "Bereit"-Knopf wird auch erst dann angezeigt. Vor der Aktivierung ist dieser Knopf noch blau.

| - Linke Seite: die Prüfungsaufgaben (hier nummeriert). Sie können diese anklicken
- Obere Navigation (von links nach rechts):
- Pfeiltasten: mit denen können Sie zwischen Aufgaben vor- und zurückgehen
- Markieren: Sie können sich damit einzelne Aufgaben markieren, um sie später noch einmal zu bearbeiten. Die Markierung erscheint in der linken Aufgabennavigation als Stecknadel.
- Hinweis: über diesen Weg kommen Sie zum Support-Kanal, über den Sie während der Prüfung Ihre Lehrenden direkt erreichen können.
- Kommentar: dort können Sie bei geschlossenen Aufgaben Kommentare für die Lehrenden hinterlassen
- Abgeben: hiermit beenden Sie die Prüfung (Details siehe unten)
- Rechts oben: Ihre verbleibende Zeit für die Prüfung.
- Rechts unten: Die für die jeweiligen Aufgabe maximal erreichbaren Punkte.

3) Prüfung beenden und Safe Exam Browser schließen| Bereich |

| - Sofern Sie Ihre Prüfung noch vor Ende der Prüfungszeit abgeben wollen, klicken Sie auf den "Abgeben"-Knopf.
- Es erscheint die folgende Sicherheitsabfrage, ob Sie die Prüfung wirklich beenden wollen. Wenn Sie nun auf "Ja" klicken, ist die Prüfung beendet.
Bei einem Ablauf der Prüfungszeit schließt sich die Prüfung automatisch und gilt als abgegeben.
