The VeroE6 cell line has been modified to constitutively express the serine protease TMPRSS2, under selection of geneticin. The resulting VeroE6/TMPRSS2 cells were shown to be highly susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 infection and can be used to produce large viral stock.
