This WIKI presents different understandings of the "rule of law" and their specific normative implications in various legal systems of the world. We ask authors from different parts of the world to compose brief Country Reports that can illustrate the specific understanding of the Rule of Law in their country in reference to the particular legal and constitutional discourse. The reports will be complemented by comparative analyses on the Rule of Law within different (legal-) cultural contexts (Analyses & Comparison).
We invite everybody to participate in the further development of this WIKI! Interested readers may
1) contribute new texts to this page and
2) comment on all the existing texts.
This WIKI is hosted by Prof. Folke Schuppert's research project on "Rule of Law and Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood" within the research cluster SFB 700 "Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood: New Modes of Governance?" at Freie Universitaet Berlin.
