The game "Guess What" works like this: I prepared 20 little cards. On every card there is a word written down, examples are dangerous, glasses, bridge, to jump and so on. One student starts and gets in front of the others. He or she has now one minute to act out the word from the card. If someone guesses it right, he or she is getting the card and keeps it. If there is still time left, the person in the front can take the next card with the next word. In the end, everyone has done the acting out part once, so that everyone has had the same chance of guessing. If someone feels that this word is too difficult to act out I offered them to try and explain it in English. This also motivates the children to talk a little.

The purpose of this game is to practice vocabulary, as it is much easier to remember difficult words in connection with a specific image you have in mind. If someone didn't know a word, they were allowed to ask. But in the end, they all remembered the English word as well.
