Sollten Sie beim Start des Safe Exam Browsers die Fehlermeldung "SEB konnte keine neue Sitzung starten! Bitte konsultieren Sie das Applikations-Protokoll für mehr Informationen." erhalten, so ist bei der Installation des Programms vermutlich ein Teil der Software nicht korrekt installiert worden. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Version des Visual C++ Redistributable von Microsoft. Um das Problem zu beheben, laden Sie bitte die neuste Version bei Microsoft (ext. Link) herunter. Wählen Sie beim Download "x64:vc_redist.x64.exe".
Führen Sie die heruntergeladene Datei aus und durchlaufen Sie den Installationsassisent. Sobald die Installation abgeschlossen wurde, starten Sie den Safe Exam Browser. Dieser sollte nun ordnungsgemäß starten.

Fehlermeldung: "SEB ist gesperrt!"
Durch das macOS-Update 11.4 erhalten einige mac Computer einen roten Bildschirm mit der Meldung "SEB ist gesperrt!" mit der Log-Information über einen fehlerhaften WindowServer.
Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Fehler des Safe Exam Browsers, welcher mit der Version 2.3.2 behoben wurde. Bitte installieren Sie die neue Version des Safe Exam Browsers und laden Sie die neue Konfigurationsdatei herunter. Eine Anleitung dazu finden Sie hier.
Error message: "SEB could not start a new session! Please consult the application log for more information."
If you receive the error code: "SEB konnte keine neue Sitzung starten! Bitte konsultieren Sie das Applikations-Protokoll für mehr Informationen." while booting up the Safe Exam Browser, it is possible that the installation process was not completed properly. In that case you have to download a version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Please download the newest version directly from Microsoft (ext. link). Please choose "x64: vc_redist.x64.exe".
Run the downloaded program and follow the installation process. When finished, please start the Safe Exam Browser again. The program should now start properly.

Error message: "SEB is locked!"
Due to the macOS update 11.4 some mac computers get a red screen with the message "SEB is locked!" with the log information about a faulty WindowServer.
This is a bug of the Safe Exam Browser, which was fixed with version 2.3.2. Please install the new version of the Safe Exam Browser and download the new configuration file. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
