Summary Very specialized master's programs usually have the challenge of having only a very few experts at one location that can cover the entire thematic spectrum of the specialized field. One solution can be the spezialisierte Masterstudiengänge stehen häufig vor der Herausforderung, nur wenige Experten/innen an einem Standort für das gesamte Themenspektrum des Spezialgebietes zu haben. Ein Lösungsansatz besteht in dem Einsatz von Videokonferenzsystemen. In dem nachfolgenden Beispiel tragen drei Universitäten mit unterschiedlichen inhaltlichen Gewichtungen zu einem Masterstudiengang bei, dem Master in Survey Statistics. Der Einsatz des Videokonferenzsystems dient dazu, standortübergreifende Seminare und Vorlesungen abzuhalten.Die Lehrveranstaltungen werden von den drei Standorten abwechselnd angeboten. Jede Videokonferenz-Sitzung wird von einem der Standorte geleitet; der/die verantwortliche Lehrende hält i. d. R. einen Lehrvortrag und moderiert die Diskussion. Die Studierenden, die sich an den jeweils anderen Standorten befinden, verfolgen die Veranstaltung im Videokonferenzraum der eigenen Universität. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, sich über Mikrofone an der Diskussion zu beteiligen und Fragen zu stellen.implementation of video conference systems. The implementation of the video conference system serves to enable cross-site seminars and lectures. The courses are provided alternately by the three different locations. Realization
In jedem Semester werden vier Lehrveranstaltungen angeboten. Die Lehrveranstaltungen finden in Form von Videokonferenzen statt. Die Studierenden befinden sich zur Veranstaltungszeit im Videokonferenzraum ihres jeweiligen Standorts. Für die Übertragung und Annotation der Präsentationsfolien nutzt der/die Dozent/in VCN und einen PDF-Annotator als zweiten Übertragungskanal. Die Lehrveranstaltungen werden aufgezeichnet und auf der Lernplattform hinterlegt.
The video conference
Für die Videokonferenz werden zwei Projektionsflächen eingesetzt:
every semester four courses are provided. The courses take place in the form of video conferences. The students are in the video conference rooms of their respective locations at the time of the courses. For the transmission and annotation of the presentation slides the lecturer uses VCN and a pdf annotator as a second transmission channel. The courses were recorded and were stored on the LMS.
The video conference
For the video conference two projection spaces are used:
- In one speinem In einem Bereich werden die Teilnehmer/innen der Videokonferenz gezeigt.
- Über eine zweite Projektionsfläche werden die Vortragsfolien sowie die dort eingefügten Annotationen live übertragen.
