Make sure you have your ID card and student ID (or certificate of matriculation) ready. You need them to identify yourself before you are allowed to begin the examination.
Organise something to drink/eat as necessary.
You will also need a pen and a piece of paper to write down some important information, provided during the Introduction talk in the Webex meeting.
Familiarise yourself with the exam software before (e.g. using the demo exam provided for you).
Find a quiet room where you can concentrate during the exam (put a "do not disturb" sign on the door if you use a shared space).
You will receive guidelines on how to proceed when experiencing technical difficulties in the Webex meeting. Your professor will send you a link to the meeting.
Please be aware: an automatic technical examination protocol is created during the examination. It can be used for error analysis.

Talk to the professor/tutor & Introduction
Before the start of the exam: please go to the announced Webex Room (usually the personal Webex Room of your professor). At this point, the Safe Exam Browser is not neededyet,please use a normal browser of your choice.
The professor will give you a rundown of the exam procedure and any last instructions.
E-Examinations team will give you information about Safe Exam Browser, and instructions on proceeding if you face technical difficulties.

Identity verification
The identity verification will be run in the Webex Room, directly after the exam procedure is explained.
Due to privacy and data protection laws, you will be separately invited to a breakout session to confirm your identity. Please be aware that your microphone and webcam must be working for this!

Start the Safe Exam Browser(if required) by double-clicking on the configuration file.
Enter your login data for the exam.
Start the exam.

During the exam
Technical questions are normally not answered during an exam.
You can give feedback on individual questions using the support channel. There is no separate login needed to use the support channel.
You can use the support channel for important questions during the exam (e.g. minor technical difficulties).
Your professor will let you know if any questions concerning the contents of the exam will be answered beforehand.

End of the exam
After you finished the exam, you can log out of the exam platform and close the Safe Exam Browser.
The results of the exam will be announced by your professor/tutor.
