Summary Under the framework topic "New technologies and social change" „Neue Technologien und gesellschaftlicher Wandel“ können die Teilnehmenden an diesem Kurs im Austausch mit Studierenden der Dokkyô Universität Sprachpraxis gewinnen und dabei Perspektiven auf gesellschaftliche Debatten vergleichen. Mögliche Themen sind z. B. Soziale Medien, der Umgang mit digitalen Technologien im Alltag, Fake News, Künstliche Intelligenz oder Elektromobilität. Lernziele sind die Verbesserung von Selbstlernkompetenzen sowie der alltags- und fachbezogenen Sprachfähigkeit und der interkulturellen Kompetenzen.the participants in this course can, through the exchange with Dokkyô University, gain practical language experience and can thereby compare perspectives on social debates. Possible topics are, for example, social media, dealing with digital technologies in daily life, fake news, artificial intelligence or electromobility. Learning goals are the improvement of the self-learning competencies as well as the daily and specialized language skills and the intercultural competencies. |

Umsetzung
Die Studierenden treffen sich mit den Lehrpersonen in einer Adobe-Connect-Webkonferenz. Dort erfolgt die Aufteilung in Arbeitsgruppen mit jeweils einer oder einem Studierenden an der FU Berlin und der Dokkyô Universität. In der Arbeitsgruppe können die beiden Lernenden ihr jeweiliges Thema besprechen, Arbeitsergebnisse auf einem Whiteboard sammeln und Dateien miteinander austauschen. Im Gespräch werden wechselseitig die sprachlichen Kompetenzen gefördert. Durch die thematische Auswahl lernen die Studierenden neue, interkulturelle Perspektiven auf gesellschaftlich relevante Diskurse kennen. Die Lehrenden können bei Fragen die Arbeitsgruppenräume der Studierenden betreten und Hilfestellungen geben. Am Ende des Semesters findet online eine Präsentation der erarbeiteten Themen statt.

Realization
The students meet with the lecturers in an Adobe Connect webconference. There the splitting up into workgroups takes place with one respective student of the FU Berlin and one from Dokkyô University. In the workgroup the two learners can discuss their respective topic, they can collect work results on a whiteboard and can exchange files with each other. In the discussion the language competencies there is a two-way promotion of the language skills. Through the topic they chose the students get to know new, intercultural perspectives on socially relevant discourses. The educators can join the workgroup rooms of the students if there are any questions and can provide help then. At the end of the semester a presentation on the worked on topics takes place online.

- Consulting services for the implementation of digital solutions in teaching: The Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) has extensive experience of many years when it comes to the implementation of digital media and systems within the fields of teaching, learning and research. We offer a wide variety of consulting services on the implementation of these tools and systems within the entire academic scope and especially at Freie Universität Berlin.
- Training courses and workshops: For lecturers at Freie Universität Berlin (professors, employees, tutors) as well as lecturers of other universities CeDiS offers training courses and workshops on the topic of teaching and learning with digital media. These course enable participants to implement online elements within their own sphere of teaching.
- The Executive Board of the Freie Universität supports e-learning initiatives: With the e-learning funding program financial resources are provided to lecturers that enrich and improve their courses quality-wise by implementing technological and media-related support. All of the academic staff teaching, the lecturers or even the institutions of the Freie Universität - without the Charité-Universitätsmedizin - can be supported within this program.
