The game is called 'Truth or Lie?'. One person tells two facts about him/herself that are true (e.g. I have an older brother. I own a car.) and one fact that is not true (e.g. I own a horse.). The goal of the game is to find out what is not true. The players are allowed to ask questions to find out whether the fact could be a lie. (e.g. What is the name of your horse? Since when do you own a car?)

The game can be played in small teams or in a bigger group from grade 5/6 to 12. One player has to decide on three facts and the others have to guess which one he or she made up.

This game can be very useful to motivate students to get in touch with each other. Even if they do not know each other very well, they get to know the other students better.

The time you need to play the game depends on which group size the teacher decides. The teams can mingle.

If the students do not have ideas on what to ask or which facts they could tell, the teacher could prepare some phrases or ideas in advance. (My favorite colour is... I own a... I live in... etc.)
