Access to CLAKS for everyone: This read-only account can be used to find chemicals of the group and in the building if you don't have an own account, e.g. if you're a guest.

You can either install the software on your PC (https://das.campus.fu-berlin.de/claks/info/index.php) or simply use the webclient: https://claks.fu-berlin.de/
Only requirement is to be connected to the FUB WIFI or to use the VPN if you're not on campus.
How to find chemicals by using the webclient:
- Chooose username from drop-down menue and enter password (see above):
- On the right hand side you can switch to english:
- Up in the fiel "substances" you can enter the CAS-number (recommended) or the substance name.
When you enter the substance name you might get more than one match. By entering the CAS-number you should get only one match since the number is unique.
Click on the substance name and a page with various details about the compound will open.
Here you can check the structure, molecular weight, information about hazard/toxicity, GHS-symbols and satefy datasheet as well as location of the compound, container size and fill level.
When you scroll down you'll find more safety datasheets from the different manufacturers.
