Das Blog dient zum Austausch von Informationen, Gedanken und Erfahrungen und ist insofern mit einem Internetforum sehr verwandt. Blogs wurden ursprünglich überwiegend als private Online-Tagebücher genutzt. Inzwischen gibt es auch viele Blogs, die z. B. von Verlagen, Unternehmen und Organisationen geführt werden. Im akademischen Umfeld werden Blogs zunehmend seminar- und veranstaltungsbegleitend eingesetzt. Die Freie Universität Berlin bietet zum einen ein zentrales Blog-System, das mit der Software WordPress betrieben wird. Einsatzformen
- Blackboard-Blogs eignen sich für die Dokumentation eines Gruppenarbeitsprozesses oder zur Dokumentation der Entwicklungen zu einem bestimmten Thema, wenn mehrere Teilnehmer/innen dazu Texte verfassen bzw. kommentieren sollen. Im Gegensatz zu den zentralen FU-Blogs können in Blackboard-Blogs thematische Kategorien, Schlagwortwolken oder Seiten nicht angelegt werden.
Implementation forms
- Blackboard blogs are suited for the documentation of a group work process or the documentation of the developments to a certain topic if several participants are supposed to draft texts or comment on these. In contrast to the central FU blogs thematic categories, keyword clouds or pages cannot be set up in blackboard blogs.
