(Literary studies have their own traditions in formulating the task and language of describing a literary text. These tasks vary depending on the place and time in which scholars live. The focus might be on describing the literary text itself, it might be on the function of literature in society, and so forth. Whatever the approach, the text always plays a central role. Nowadays, there are computer tools for textual analysis and a practice built around them. In what ways does the practice of digital humanists differ from that of literary scholars and in what tasks can literary scholars be assisted with digital approaches?)
