Type of measurement:
Imaging of agarose gels e.g. DNA gels stained with ehtidiumbromide
Requirements:
- Gain permission to work in the Biolabs by follwoing the How-to-Start procedure.
- Get access to the BCP-storage network drive suprafab-analytics to save measuremnt data.
- Book the device using OpenIRIS (protocls see here).
- Get an introduction to the device by the responsible person (see above).
- Don’t leave the drawer open.
- Don’t image ethidiumbromide stained gels here (--> use the UV solo camera system on the opposite bench).
- Store the white light conversion screen safely in its box when not in use.
- Clean the lighttable with water after use.
- Don’t touch the computer keyboard and mouse with gloves.
- Use this Biometra imaging system for ethidiumbromide stained gels and follow the safety instruction for handling ethidiumbromid (--> DO NOT use the BIORad system for ethidiumbromide).
