Why do I need this?
The BCP-storage file system is intended for transferring measurement data from a measurement computer to your own computer or to your workgroup drive, as USB devices are not allowed on measurement computers.
For measurement devices in SupraFAB as well as in the measurement room Taku 3, you can use the BCP-storage network drive suprafab-analytics.
For major instrumentation e.g. XPS, Ion-TOFF or the microscopes of the EM and OM facility, device specific network drives are available that should be also used for long-term data storage of raw data (up to 10 Years).
Note: The BCP-storage is currently free of charge, but may be charged in the future.
Getting Access & Protocols
- Get your zedat account registered to the BCP-storage group of your research group by asking your group's BCP-storage manager or your research group head (guide for BCP-storage managers or group heads: getting-started-walkthrough.pdf → start reading page 2 lower paragraph).
Note: In case your group is not using the BCP-storage until now, the head of the research group need to contact Mathias Dimde (Coordinator of the Core Facility) to get your group added as BCP-storage user group.
In case you want to use the BCP-storage for data from major instrumentation from the EM, OM, Surface unit, contact additonally the respective unit heads for access to the device specific BCP-storage file locations and provide them also your zedat account name.
For OM only: Additionally, provide your zedat name to Katharina Achazi or Marta Maglione to give you access to the OM device network drives.
If you are not on campus (connected to ZEDAT-network/WIFI), you have to connect your computer via VPN in advance.
